Rhyolite tuff formed 10-20 million years ago got hardened by hot siliceous solutions accompanying vulcanic eruptions at some places, that is how tuff cones rose. According to some ideas beehive stones used to be cave dwellings approved by some pottery found near the stones, but beehive could suggest that the nitches were really beehives, their arrangements are suitable for developing, wintering a bee family.
